How To Play On PS5
Sony has restricted the use of third-party adapters like the Cronus Zen on PS5. Follow the steps below for your controller type to get around this.
Standard DualSense Controller
1 — Disable Bluetooth
On your PS5 go to Settings → Accessories → Advanced Settings and turn Bluetooth off.
2 — Connect your controller
Plug your DualSense into the left port of the Cronus Zen using a USB cable.
3 — Connect the Zen to your PS5
Plug the Cronus Zen into your PS5 using the top port.
4 — Unlock controller access
Immediately after connecting, hold the touchpad for 10 seconds. This temporarily grants controller access to the device.
5 — Disable accessories
On your PS5 go to Settings → Accessories → Turn Off Accessories.
6 — Authenticate
Press and hold L3 + R3 simultaneously. Your controller will perform a short sequence of automatic movements lasting around 3–5 seconds. Once complete your Cronus Zen is fully active.
DualSense Edge Controller
If you use a DualSense Edge, the process is slightly different. Follow these steps instead.
1 — Enable Bluetooth
On your PS5 go to Settings → Accessories → Advanced Settings and turn Bluetooth on.
2 — Disable accessories
Go to Settings → Accessories → General → Turn Off Accessories.
3 — Hover over your controller
In the accessories menu, hover over the DualSense Edge Wireless Controller entry. Do not select it — just highlight it.
4 — Prepare your Cronus Zen
Make sure your Cronus Zen has no cables connected at this point.
5 — Connect your controller to the Zen
Plug your DualSense Edge into the left port of the Cronus Zen.
6 — Connect the Zen to your PS5
Plug the PS5 cable into the top port of the Cronus Zen.
Your DualSense Edge is now connected and your Cronus Zen is active on PS5.
